The next major event for the world of pools and spas will take place in Lyon. From 18 to 21 November, the most well known experts and brands in the sector will meet to share information and innovation.
Piscine Expo Lyon has become the most significant international event for the sector as it is the place to find out about the latest products and services in this segment, and its key players. Since 1979, it has served as a meeting place for manufacturers, distributors, builders, architects, landscape architects, and public and private bodies. In this year’s edition, it will host 600 exhibitors who will have the opportunity to impress 18,000 visitors from 90 countries.
Innovation is at the core of the event’s know-how. Around 100 technical and eco-efficient innovations will be launched at the exhibition and they will all be vying for one of the awards in either the Top 100 category (technological innovations) or the Pool Eco Attitude Innovation category – products and solutions launched in the market that meet sustainable development criteria.
The two prizes will be judged by a jury of experts made up of two members from the trade press, two pool and spa builders, an expert in water features and a sustainable development auditor. They will vet the products to ensure they are innovative and their final decision will be based on criteria such as technological excellence, quality certificates, the registration of patents, originality and the market potential of the products.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on the evening of 18 November at the Eurexpo venue.
Furthermore, the 2014 edition is to take a step forward in turning the exhibition into a global event: it will be the only one able to showcase an exhaustive display of every conceivable product for the construction, maintenance and refurbishment of both public and private pools and spas. The fair is divided into three sections: Piscine for the private pool sector, Aqualie for public pools, water parks and wellness centres, and Living Pool, for outdoor pool features.
Over 70 international journalists will report on everything that happens during the four days the exhibition is to last. They will place special emphasis on key developments that will influence the pool market in the short- to the long-term.
