A new edition of Salon Piscine & Bien-Être, France’s major trade fair devoted entirely to the world of pools and spas, is to be held in December. Held in Paris every year, the event attracts hundreds of professionals from the sector (technicians, distributors, manufacturers and installers, amongst others), who present their latest products and solutions to the general public.
One of the biggest surprises this year is that the event is to be held alongside Nautic, Paris’ international boat show. This latest development is great news for the exhibitors at Piscine & Bien-Être, as they will be able to show their latest products to more visitors. There is the added advantage that exhibition-goers will be free to wander around both fairs. It should be highlighted that Nautic attracted more than 230,000 people in 2014.
The event is being held at a high point for the French pool market, which has not stopped growing. Last year it underwent growth of 3% and it has been calculated that there is currently one pool for every 38 inhabitants. Furthermore, the wellness sector is gaining even greater ground. The Fédération des Professionnels de la Piscine (FFP) has estimated that is has grown by around 13% and that more than 7,000 households in France purchase a spa each year.
Another figure that the FFP was able to confirm in this optimistic climate was that by the end of 2014 France had a total of 1.76 million private pools. This figure places France second in the world ranking of countries with the biggest park of swimming pools, outranked only by the United States.
Salon Piscine & Bien-Être will be held from 5 to 13 December 2015 in Pavilion 1 of the Paris-Porte de Versailles exhibition centre. You can see the times, access points and the official list of exhibitors on the event’s website.
